Kintsugi

Where it breaks, mend it with gold — and it becomes the view.

Kintsugi is a 6×4, 40-line slot. Cracks split across the grid into golden-seam wilds, crossings multiply, and in the bonus the seams stay until the golden net pays ×10.

How wins work

  • The board has 6 reels × 4 rows and 40 fixed paylines.
  • Matching symbols on 3 or more consecutive reels from the left along a line pay; each line pays only its highest win.
  • Cracks land on reels 3 and 4 only. When the reels stop, every crack splits reel by reel to the far left and the far right (one row up, the same row or one row down at each step) and every cell it passes becomes a golden seam (wild) before lines are counted.
  • Gold dust does not pay on lines: 3 or more anywhere start the Kintsugi bonus (free spins). A crack passing over gold dust leaves that cell unchanged.

Paytable

Values are total-bet multiples: a line that matches on those reels pays total bet × table value (the same numbers as the in-game paytable). When the seams a line uses carry multipliers, the multipliers are added and applied; during the bonus the scene and golden-net multipliers then multiply the spin's line wins.

Special symbols

Golden seam

Wild. Only made by cracks (it is not on any reel strip); substitutes for regular symbols but not for gold dust or cracks. Crossing cells carry multipliers, which add up along a line.

Crack

Reels 3 and 4 only. Splits left and right to both edges and turns the cells it passes into golden seams. It does not pay by itself.

Gold dust

Scatter. No connection required: 3 or more start Kintsugi; 3 or more during the bonus add 5 spins.

Features

Cracks and golden seams

A crack splits left and right to both edges of the grid and molten gold follows it in, turning every cell on its path into a golden seam (wild). One crack is a wild that runs across all 6 reels and often joins several lines at once; a line that starts with 3 or more seams pays from the seam's own paytable (whichever is higher).

Crossing multipliers

Where two cracks pass the same cell it becomes ×2 (three cracks ×3, and so on), up to ×10. When a line uses several multiplied cells, the multipliers are added (×2 and ×3 = ×5).

Kintsugi — sticky seams

3/4/5 gold-dust jars award 10/12/15 spins of Kintsugi; 3 or more during the bonus add 5 spins. During Kintsugi every seam stays for the whole round, and a new crack passing an old seam adds to that cell's multiplier.

The scene and the golden net

At 12 seams the board becomes a scene: from the next spin every line win is ×2. At 23 seams it becomes the golden net: from the next spin the multiplier is ×10 instead. The more of the 24 cells are mended, the higher it goes.

Volatility and positioning

Volatility 14.41. The 26.37% hit rate counts any winning round; 14.10% of all rounds return at least the stake. The base game carries about 51% of the RTP, and cracks often fill whole lines at once; Kintsugi comes about once every 251.53 spins and its multiplier grows as the seams fill the grid. A single round is capped at 12,500× the bet and ends when it hits the cap. This describes the product's positioning and does not guarantee any single session.

Bonus buy (two options)

Pay 120.25× the bet to start Kintsugi (10 spins), or 536.40× for “two seams” — 2 seams are already split across the grid before the first spin. Each price follows the expected value of that purchase route (bonus-buy RTP 96.23% and 96.23%) and is calibrated separately from regular play.

Sources & verification scope

This product specification is written and maintained by its developer, Akitsora Gaming (AKI電子 in Taiwan). Measurement methods and sample information for RTP, volatility and hit rate appear in the specification table. Sampled results have uncertainty; RTP describes long-run return, not an individual player or session outcome.

Internal simulations and tests are not independent certification. We do not currently hold GLI or BMM certification reports. Supply to a market requiring third-party certification depends on completing its requirements.

The story

Fiction and adapted settings written by Akitsora Gaming for this title, including invented dialogue and events. This is not a historical or folklore reference. The rules and specification tables define the gameplay and math.

When a tea bowl cracks, nobody throws the vessel away,
for mended with lacquer and dusted with gold, the fracture becomes its finest view.

I. Listening to the Bowl in the Tea Room

In a quiet afternoon tea room, bamboo shadows sway beyond a round lattice window while ceramic vessels rest on a timber workbench — a black Raku tea bowl, a celadon censer, a stoneware flask, and a glazed pitcher. The apprentice leans his ear close to the clay, listening for the faintest stress line ready to give. Every vessel on the bench carries the quiet warmth of the kiln and the patient touch of the potter's hands.

In the Japanese craft of kintsugi, a break in a cherished vessel is never treated as ruin; instead, it is honoured as part of the piece's living history. Every crack symbol that lands on the three middle reels is that soft click in the pottery, calling the artisan's brush to work. What might have been cast aside in another workshop is instead welcomed onto the table for a second life in gold.

II. Molten Gold Flowing Along the Cracks

As soon as the five reels come to a stop, each crack splits outward reel by reel to both the far-left and far-right edges of the board. Warm urushi lacquer and molten gold immediately flow into the fracture, transforming every cell along its path into a gleaming golden seam wild before paylines are evaluated. The fine brush follows every natural turn of the fracture, never forcing the line but letting the clay speak for itself.

Because a single crack spans all five reels from edge to edge, one golden seam often completes several paylines at once — and any payline that begins from the left with consecutive golden seams can pay from the seam's own high paytable. A single glowing seam running from left to right turns a sudden fracture into a bridge of pure gold across the reels.

III. Crossing Seams and Rising Multipliers

When more than one crack lands on the same spin, their golden paths frequently cross one another across the grid. Every cell where two or more cracks intersect gathers a richer bead of gold and gains a cell multiplier, and when a winning payline passes through several multiplied intersections, their multipliers add together. Where the golden veins meet and cross, the lacquer gleams thicker and brighter against the dark glaze of the bowl.

Lacquer jars of fine gold dust act as the scatter symbol across the board. Gathering enough gold-dust jars anywhere on a spin lights the warm evening lamps of the workshop and begins the Kintsugi free-spin bonus. As the warm paper lanterns illuminate the quiet wooden bench at dusk, the apprentice carefully prepares the finest gold powder for the night's work.

IV. A Golden Net Under the Workshop Lamp

By lamplight in the Kintsugi feature, every mended golden seam stays locked on the board for the entire round instead of clearing between spins. Whenever a fresh crack splits across an existing seam, their intersection multiplier grows higher still, weaving a denser web of gold across the pottery. Line by line, the dark ceramic surface is transformed into a luminous tapestry of intersecting golden seams.

Tea masters call the pattern of mended lines on a bowl its keshiki — its landscape or view. Once enough cells are mended with gold, every subsequent spin enters the Scene multiplier tier, and mending almost the entire board weaves the Golden Net for the workshop's highest multiplier. Under the soft glow of the workshop lamp, the mended vessel stands more radiant and more precious than before it broke.
