How wins work

  • The grid is 5 reels × 3 rows with 10 fixed paylines.
  • A line pays when the same symbol appears on 3 or more consecutive reels from the leftmost reel; only the highest win on each line counts.
  • Fish do not pay on lines. They land carrying cash values and are only collected by fishermen (see “Fisherman collects” below).
  • Line wins and collections on the same spin are calculated separately and added.

Paytable

Values are multiples of the total bet for a line of that length: win = total bet × table value (the same numbers as the in-game paytable). Fish are not on the table — they land carrying cash values and are only collected by fishermen (see “Fisherman collects”).

Special symbols

Fisherman

Substitutes for regular symbols and appears on reels 2, 3, 4 only. When he lands he collects every fish on the grid (no line needed); several fishermen collect several times.

Tairyo flag

Does not pay on lines. 3 or more trigger free spins.

Fish

Lands carrying a cash value; does not pay on lines and is only collected by fishermen. Sardine, mackerel, bonito and tuna looks mark the value bands, and the amount is printed on the fish.

Giant tuna

Appears only on a “giant tuna” round. It covers 2×2 cells and is worth 100 or 500× the total bet; it is collected with the other fish and multiplied the same way. Cells under it do not pay on lines.

Features

Fisherman collects

Fish land carrying cash values: 0.2–10× the total bet in the base game and 0.5–50× in free spins; the four looks (sardine, mackerel, bonito, tuna) mark the value bands. When a fisherman lands, he collects every fish on the grid: collected = fishermen × sum of fish values × current multiplier — no line needed. Collections happen in the base game too (multiplier ×1).

Flag raising

In free spins, every 4 fishermen collected raise another tairyo flag on the boat and lift the multiplier: ×1 → ×2 → ×3 → ×10, with 10 extra spins per flag. A full set of flags is the “mankan-shoku” homecoming. Each collection uses the multiplier at the start of that spin.

Fishermen's blackboard

Every free-spins round opens with a card (4 kinds): more fishermen, more fish, two flags (starts at the second flag's multiplier, with that level's extra spins included), or giant tuna (a 2×2 tuna worth 100 or 500× the total bet; on that round the first spin always tries to place one).

Seagull rescue

During free spins, when fish are on the grid but no fisherman has landed, a seagull may fly in carrying a fisherman who collects from the air (he counts as one fisherman; he does not land on the grid or pay on lines). The seagull comes more often when a giant tuna is on the grid.

Free spins

3/4/5 tairyo flags award 10/12/15 spins. The blackboard card comes first; flags and multiplier live only within that round and reset when it ends.

Volatility — positioning

Volatility 8.23. Hit rate 24.43% counts rounds with any win; 19.83% of all rounds return at least the stake. Lines and base-game collections carry about 62% of the RTP; the big swings come from flag raising and the giant tuna in free spins. This describes the product's positioning and does not guarantee session outcomes.

Two-tier bonus buy

Pay 59.23× the bet for free spins (card drawn as usual), or 89.35× for “Two-flag start” — the round opens with two flags (at the second flag's multiplier, with that level's 10 extra spins included). Each tier is priced from the expected value measured along its own buy path (buy RTP 96.50% and 96.50%) and calibrated separately from the base game.

Sources & verification scope

This product specification is written and maintained by its developer, Akitsora Gaming (AKI電子 in Taiwan). Measurement methods and sample information for RTP, volatility and hit rate appear in the specification table. Sampled results have uncertainty; RTP describes long-run return, not an individual player or session outcome.

Internal simulations and tests are not independent certification. We do not currently hold GLI or BMM certification reports. Supply to a market requiring third-party certification depends on completing its requirements.

The story

Fiction and adapted settings written by Akitsora Gaming for this title, including invented dialogue and events. This is not a historical or folklore reference. The rules and specification tables define the gameplay and math.

Sea winds fill the dyed banners as the fishing boat cuts homeward through the spray.
With every flag flying from bow to stern, the whole harbor knows the catch is grand.

I. Banners of the Fishing Port

Along the rugged coasts of Japan, tairyo flags are the proudest emblems of a traditional fishing village. Whenever a new wooden vessel is launched or returns from the offshore grounds with a bountiful haul, families and net owners gift bold dyed banners to the captain—blazing in crimson, ochre, emerald, and indigo with crashing waves, cranes, turtles, and sea bream. Salt spray glistens in the dawn sun as wooden hulls cut through the rolling indigo swell toward the horizon.

A vessel returning with its holds full to the brim hoists every banner it owns from bow to stern in a triumphant display called mankan-shoku. Long before the hull touches the stone quay, townsfolk watching from the harbor breakwater can read the skyline of fluttering cloth against the horizon and know that the sea was generous today. From the bustling harbor wharf to the open Pacific currents, the woodblock seascape pulses with maritime grit and celebration.

II. Hauling In the Catch

Here the fishing boat rides the rolling waves directly above the reels while the five-column grid beneath reveals a lively cross-section of the open sea. Schools of cash fish swim across the columns carrying values printed right on their scales—from silvery sardines and mackerel to swift bonito and prized bluefin tuna. Salt spray glistens in the dawn sun as wooden hulls cut through the rolling indigo swell toward the horizon.

These fish never pay on ordinary paylines; instead, they wait for the Fisherman Wild to hit the board. In both the base game and free spins, the moment a fisherman lands on the middle columns, the captain drops his line and hauls every fish value in view straight onto the deck—and multiple fishermen collect the entire shoal multiple times. From the bustling harbor wharf to the open Pacific currents, the woodblock seascape pulses with maritime grit and celebration.

III. The Blackboard and the Seagull

Landing enough Tairyo Flag scatters sounds the departure horn for free spins, beginning with a draw from the harbor’s chalked Fishermen’s Blackboard. The opening card may summon extra fishermen to the reels, thicker shoals of fish in the water, or an immediate two-flag head start complete with bonus spins and a boosted multiplier. Salt spray glistens in the dawn sun as wooden hulls cut through the rolling indigo swell toward the horizon.

Draw the Giant Tuna notice and a massive two-by-two bluefin swims into the deep, carrying a towering cash prize on its back. Even if a free spin fills the water with fish while no fisherman lands on the reels, a wheeling seagull rescue may swoop down from the sky with a fisherman in tow to haul in the catch. From the bustling harbor wharf to the open Pacific currents, the woodblock seascape pulses with maritime grit and celebration.

IV. Mankan-shoku at Nightfall

Throughout the free-spins voyage, every set of fishermen collected hoists another tairyo flag up the mast, awarding extra spins and lifting the collection multiplier to the next tier. You never need to guess how close you are to the top—the banners flying above the cabin show your exact rank at a single glance. Salt spray glistens in the dawn sun as wooden hulls cut through the rolling indigo swell toward the horizon.

As the horizon shifts from dawn mist to high noon and fiery dusk, raising the final banner brings the boat home under the glowing lanterns of a night harbor in full mankan-shoku dress, where strings of festive bunting run bow to stern and every line cast into the water multiplies the day’s grandest catch. From the bustling harbor wharf to the open Pacific currents, the woodblock seascape pulses with maritime grit and celebration.
